PD 2024 site concept

Platformers' Days: Existing site concept will be continued and optimised in 2024

The site concept of the previous Platformers' Days has proven its worth and will therefore be continued at the upcoming event. This means that the trade fair will once again occupy 20,000 square metres in the outdoor exhibition area and 12,500 square metres in the hall, offering enough space for individual stand concepts for exhibitors. The Electro-Park, with its exhibition of equipment and the diverse lecture format "PD Forum", providing valuable impetus for alternative drive technology, will be reconceptualised, and transferred to the centre of hall 1 as well as enlarged to approx. 900 sqm. The exhibition management and catering will also be repositioned within hall 1. In the outdoor exhibition area, the popular Demo-Area with its live demonstrations taking place several times a day will remain in its original location with almost 1000 square metres and the mobile catering stations will be relocated to offer the best possible outdoor culinary experience.

Philipp Doll and Oliver Swen Dahms at IPAF in Munich

Whether in the Hessian region at the BBI Conference or the "Innovationstage", in Austria at the MAWEV Show or in Baden-Württemberg, during the PartnerLIFT Annual General Meeting, Logimat or Dach&Holz: the Platformers' Days team is once again busy travelling on behalf of the trade fair this year. We are constantly finding out about the trending topics in the industry and using the valuable market insights we gain to create customised formats for Platformers' Days. In the process, we focus on our exhibitors and visitors. We always keep an eye on the entire spectrum of aerial working platforms, cranes and forklifts and deal with the most critical challenges of the three sectors and their complementary products.

You'll be able to meet us in person at the upcoming events and we'll be happy to talk to anyone interested in the Platformers' Days.

We already made some valuable contacts at "IPAF Elevation Germany" at Motorworld in Munich.

„PD-Team on the road“

Whether on an international stage, at the Europlatform in Rome, in the northernmost German state of Schleswig-Holstein at the Nordbau in Neumünster or right in the middle of Germany's largest conurbation at the bbi strategy day "professional rental" in Dortmund - we take up the topics that move your industry. From these valuable market insights, we develop formats suitable for trade fairs in order to present the best possible solutions for the challenges in the rental business or in the use of lifting and height-access technology at Platformers' Days.

Last week at bauma we were again able to make new customer contacts and sign important contracts. Among others, Sahalift or Syniotec will be represented at Platformers' Days 2023.

Olivia Hogenmüller with representatives of SAHALIFT
Good mood prevailed at the signing of the contract between Sahalift and Messe Karlsruhe represented by Olivia Hogenmüller.

You too can come to us with ideas or benefit from personal participation advice for your trade fair presentation.

Where do we see each other next?

Our team will be on site for you at the following industry events in the near future:

  • VDBUM Großseminar, Willingen – 24 - 27 January 2023
  • IPAF Summit, Berlin – 20 April 2023

Innovations for exhibitors

  • Combined stands - an ensemble that convinces!

8 combined stand spaces unite the practical focus of the outdoor exhibition area and the comfort of the exhibition hall. Take advantage of both exhibition areas and benefit from the close proximity of your two stand spaces to be exactly where your customer needs you!

  • Uniform stand space pricing in the hall and outdoor exhibition area

The improved exhibition area lets you choose between an indoor stand, an outdoor stand, or a combination of the two. This means you are sure to find the best solution for showcasing your products. Whatever option you choose, you will pay the same base price. The stand fees are scaled based solely on stand size. This means you pay the same for an indoor stand as you would in the outdoor exhibition area. Should you choose a combined stand, the fee will be based on the total stand space.

  • Book the extra services you need

Many of you will know the “PD package” from the last Platformers’ Days. This included services like electricity, parking and internet. In 2023, we will replace it with a more flexible and transparent system of individual bookings. This means you will only book the services you really need.

  • „Customer Care Package“ – targeted invitation management for your customers with a binding cost limit!

We are making it easier for you to invite your customers and business partners to Platformers’ Days by covering all one-day invitations and catering with a cost limit. This gives you maximum transparency and certainty for your trade fair budget, as the costs are fixed in a set lump sum that is the same for all exhibitors. You can order tickets for the networking evening on the Friday separately in the Online Service Centre and invite your most valued customers.

  • Expand your presence for an even more successful participation!

At Platformers' Days 2023 not only will you be able to show off your products on your individual stand, but also in other highly frequented areas of the exhibition grounds. For example, in the 1,000 m² Demo Area with its focus on (electrified) tracked boom lifts, you can perfectly demonstrate the advantages of these, such as their compactness and manoeuvrability, the large working height and reach combined with low weight, as well as the flexibility of their areas of application, in expertly moderated demonstrations taking place several times a day. In 2023, for the first time, a track course specifically highlighting the added value of tracked boom lifts will be embedded in the outdoor exhibition area and guarantee a high visitor frequency!

The trend topic of electric mobility will be addressed for the second time at Platformers' Days 2023 in the so-called Electro Park - for the first time in Hall 1 and in combination with an integrated forum for short presentations by the participants. In the midst of the trade fair action in Hall 1, make your emission-free machine or vehicle technology available for your customers to touch at close quarters and provide accompanying information on the progress of electrification in your company.

New site concept 2023

The exhibition area in the outdoor site of Platformers' Days 2023 extends around Hall 1, which is the central link with 12,500 m² of floor space, a large catering and networking area and, thanks to the generous ceiling height, variable space concepts for exhibitors. With eight hall gates, the surrounding outdoor exhibition area will be optimally accessible from all sides. The "Rough Terrain" action area, which was installed for the first time in 2021, will now move into the middle of the trade fair as a "Demo Area" with a focus on (electrified) tracked boom lifts and will be relaunched in 2023 with a professionalised show concept and expert moderation. The special show "Elektro Park", which was implemented for the first time, will also be retained and moved to the hall area.

The response from the industry's key exhibitors continues to be high!

Around a year before Platformers' Days 2023, we are pleased to have bindingly allocated over 50 % of the exhibition space in the outdoor exhibition area and more than 1/3 of the rentable space in the hall. We are delighted that JCB - with an enlarged stand - Hermann Paus, Ruthmann, Magni, Merlo and Manitou as well as Teupen, among others, will be taking part. There is particularly great interest in the combined stand areas offered for the first time, which provide maximum flexibility and variation in stand design with proportionate stand space in the outdoor exhibition area and in the hall area. Thus, exhibitors who want to skilfully exploit the added value of the combination use the indoor exhibition area, for example, as a presentation platform for electrified equipment or to advertise their own financing and service offers, whereas the outdoor stand - as a demonstration area for conventionally operated product highlights - focuses on the live machine experience.

The number of so-called " combined stands" is limited to a total of 8. Genie (ATG/BSI), JLG, Ahern, XCMG and Klaas have already secured this attractive form of presentation.

Two are still on sale. Come and talk to us!
